ChildSafe Trivia Bowl

4:00 to 7:00 pm at C.B. & Potts, 1427 W. Elizabeth, Fort Collins. Emceed by Michael Stone (Tri-102.5 Radio).

Trivia categories for all ages – lots of great prizes, plus a silent auction. All competitors get one free drink and snacks (more food and drinks for sale).

Teams limited to 6 members. Fees: Team of two, $25 – each additional team member, $10 (all proceeds go to ChildSafe). Registration deadline April 7. Participation limited to first 100 paid registrants. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Quilt Raffle to Benefit ChildSafe

Raffle tickets: $1 per ticket, 6 tickets for $5

For the second year, the talented fiber artists of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Foundation have created a special quilt to be raffled for ChildSafe – and again it's absolutely gorgeous! This one is called "Fleur de Heart Strings" and measures 65 x 77 inches. We'll post a picture of it here as soon as we have one.

Like last year, this wonderful handmade quilt will be raffled at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival on August 22, and all proceeds will be donated to ChildSafe. Raffle tickets will be for sale at the festival, but you can buy yours now though the Rocky Mountain Quilt Foundation, ChildSafe volunteers, or at the ChildSafe office. The winning ticket holder need not be present at the drawing.

A unique special-invitation event for current and potential supporters and advocates of ChildSafe in the Fort Collins and northern Colorado community. This event is made possible by the generous efforts of ChildSafe board member Barbara Cohen and her husband, Barry, at their family home and ranch in north Fort Collins.

"Art Thrives"

5:30-9:00 pm, at the newly renovated Club Tico, 1599 City Park Drive, Fort Collins.

This distinctive Art Event will feature well known artists in several mediums, and some of their finest works will be sold to benefit ChildSafe. If your artistic tastes run to exceptional quality, this is going to be a "must attend". Stay tuned for more details here and in our newsletter...

"TEES fore TWO"

Golf Tournament at the Fort Collins Country Club

Sponsored by the ROMEO men's golf club, this full-day event will benefit two charities (hence the name). The beneficiaries will be ChildSafe and FREE (Front Range Exceptional Equestrians, a therapeutic riding program for people with pysical, mental, and emotional challenges).

All participating golfers will receive a coupon for an additional free round of golf at FCCC in 2010 or 2011!

Have an idea for a ChildSafe event?

Planning and running fundraisers and other events is one of the jobs of the ChildSafe board of directors. Recently, volunteers have been included in this process, with hopes that we can stage more and bigger events in the future.

If you have ideas for stand-alone fundraisers, or organizations ChildSafe can partner with to raise funds or awareness, we'd welcome your suggestions. And we'd especially welcome volunteers to help with planning and running such events. Just mention it to any board member or contact our volunteer coordinator at:
